 | Week's Best Player Honored by AHL Monday, August 19th, 2013: Swinging a hot stick last week, Masakado Hirano picked up the August Herrman League Player of the Week Award today. The 26-year-old center fielder for Dearborn lashed 12 hits in 24 at-bats as he put together a .500 average with 2 home runs. Hirano also drove in 3 runs, scored 6 times and compiled a .556 OBP. This season Hirano has hit at a .284 clip with 42 RBIs, 5 home runs and 55 runs scored. He has played in 110 games. |   |
