Saturday, July 6th, 2013: Watching Juan Medina getting helped off the field today at Penlee Park, fans of the Palm Beach Bums feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 4 months with a torn back muscle. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Medina suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Pirates.
