 | Clampett Takes Best Bat Award in June Monday, July 1st, 2013: For a rookie just breaking in, Matt Clampett certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the AHL Batter of the Month award for June. The 20-year-old third baseman for the Dearborn Pioneers hit .370 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs and 14 runs scored. This year Clampett has collected a .288 batting average to date with 82 hits in 285 at-bats, 33 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 33 times. He has played in 81 games. |   |
