 | Whitewater's Ohayashi Gets AHL Player of the Week Monday, June 17th, 2013: Takahashi Ohayashi must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .406 clip, then the Whitewater left fielder finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the AHL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Ohayashi batted .406 (13-32) with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. This season Ohayashi is batting .250 with 6 home runs. |   |
