 | Sanford Beats Huntsville 5-1, Gates Ks 15 Sunday, June 16th, 2013: Jason Gates of the Sanford Stingrays really put on a pitching clinic today at Sabercats Grounds as he struck out 15 Huntsville Sabercats in a 5-1 victory. Gates was simply magnificent as he held the Sabercats to 3 hits and had 2 walks in the game. "My fastball was okay," Gates said, "but my breaking stuff really hurt them. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Gates's performance, the Stingrays manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was pretty good out there today. He was dominating today." In 14 starts this season Gates has registered a 2-7 record and a 3.29 ERA. |   |
