 | Las Vegas Beats New Orleans 5-0, Lomax Ks 16 Sunday, May 12th, 2013: It was a very special game for Anastasio Lomax today at Guiding Light Park in Las Vegas. He had the perfect delivery. The good fastball. The nasty curve. The batters mumbling and muttering when they swung and missed. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. In an unforgettable performance the 20-year-old Lomax fanned 16 strikeouts Jedi Knights and sparked the Las Vegas Lost to a 5-0 victory over New Orleans. His catcher commented, "I don't think I have seen him throw better. His location and command were really something." In addition to his 16 strikeouts, Johnson allowed 3 hits and 1 walk in a superlative outing. His manager added, "It's a manager's day off when you get pitching like that." The New Orleans skipper had no comment that was printable in the newspaper. This season Lomax has a 6-0 record with a 1.03 ERA in 7 starts. |   |
