 | Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Friday, April 19th, 2013: If there wasn't a history between Neil Fullerton of Dearborn and Carlos Rúbio of Houston, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 2 games as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Fullerton said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This year Fullerton has hit 3 home runs and posted a .179 batting average.
To this point in the year Rúbio has put up a 2-2 won-lost mark, made 8 relief appearances and rung up 1 save. He has a 5.91 ERA and has allowed 19 hits over his 10.2 innings of work, struck out 6 batters and walked 3. | |
