 | Racine Spins No-Hitter Against Coney Island Monday, April 15th, 2013: Excitement reigned at the ballyard today as Nichols hurler Hugo Racine tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter.
After defeating the Coney Island Cyclones at Coney Island Coliseum 3-0 he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here. I want to help the club any way I can. Today I just went right at the Coney Island as hard as I could, as long as I could."
Racine chalked up 4 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks in his superb performance.
The Nichols manager had his own analysis of the ballgame: "I don't think we could have hit him with a howitzer today."
