Saturday, April 13th, 2013: Kazuhiko Kanno of the San Angelo Mustangs was on fire against Coney Island. He shut them down 7-0 on 2 hits and no runs with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Kanno said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
