 | Alexander Cartwright League Selects Best Performer Monday, September 24th, 2012: So far in his young career, Bill Smith has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Alexander Cartwright League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Riverside Red Bulls center fielder hit at a torrid .400 clip as he collected 10 hits in 25 at-bats, 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season Smith is batting .273 with 16 home runs, 78 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 89 hits in 326 at-bats, 66 walks and a .392 OBP. Smith has played in 94 games. |   |
