 | Sandy Springs's Crawford Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Saturday, August 18th, 2012: Perry Crawford was unstoppable, but his club, the Spartans, was not unbeatable. Despite his hitting heroics they lost to the Cincinnati Snaps 8-4. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Crawford just shook his head after the game, saying to the BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins... not the most hits." Perry Crawford singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Crawford has 6 home runs and a .272 batting average. |   |
