 | Walker Red-Hot, FFL Player of the Week Monday, July 30th, 2012: At the age of 27, Artie Walker might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Spokane second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .500 batting average. For his efforts Walker collected the Ford Frick League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 6 games. Presently Walker is batting .422 with 27 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 20 runs and scored 16 times. |   |
