 | Bielenda Collects Player of the Week Award Monday, July 2nd, 2012: So far in his young career, Bogumil Bielenda has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Ford Frick League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Phoenix Lights center fielder hit at a torrid .536 clip as he collected 15 hits in 28 at-bats, no home runs, 4 RBIs and 9 runs scored. In 79 games this season Bielenda has compiled a .290 batting average with 95 hits and no home runs. He has also scored 66 times and knocked in 32 runs. |   |
