Thursday, May 17th, 2012: Earlier today, New York reliever Scott Wade had to leave the game against Phoenix because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a torn rotator cuff and will miss 10 months of play. Wade was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians.
Wade's record up to now is 2-and-3 with no saves and a 4.18 ERA. He has given up 18 hits in 23.2 innings with 25 strikeouts.
