 | FFL Awards Player of the Week Monday, April 23rd, 2012: 19-year-old Stu Yarbrough made a few Long Island headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ford Frick League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .522 average. Yarbrough collected no home runs, 2 RBIs and scored 2 runs. This season Yarbrough is hitting .317 with no home runs. |   |
