 | Four-bagger Feast: King Slugs 3 for Asheville Wednesday, April 4th, 2012: Fireworks exploded with regularity in the Tourists-Hackers game, but it wasn't a match that set them off -- it was the bat of Doug King. He belted 3 home runs in an awesome display of sheer power. In the 11-0 Asheville victory King stunned the Hackers pitching staff for 3 hits in 3 at-bats and knocked in 5 runs. After the game, King said simply, "I saw everything they threw at me. Hitting was a piece of cake today... with lots of extra icing on it." Doug King hit a solo-shot off Martín Cabrera in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Martín Cabrera in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Murray Bryan in the 8th. |   |
