 | 5-6 Day for Clark Saturday, September 28th, 2013: What a day for Lucas Clark of the New York Ninjas! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Spokane pitching apart at The Kennel and sparked the Ninjas to a 16-2 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Clark told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
Lucas Clark hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Todd Rogers in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Presently Clark is hitting .279 with 11 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played in 152 games and scored 71 times. | |
