Wednesday, September 18th, 2013: "Sore." That's how Nathan Mitchell described his situation to BNN after he got a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch against the Deacons. Team officials say they expect Mitchell to be out of commission for about 13 months.
To this point in the season, Mitchell has 27 saves in 47 relief appearances with a 2-5 mark and 4.10 ERA. He has 51 strikeouts in 48.1 innings with 37 walks.
