 | Bell Wins ACL's Best Bat Award Sunday, September 1st, 2013: For a rookie just breaking in, Jamie Bell certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the ACL Batter of the Month award for August. The 22-year-old center fielder for the Newark Jail Birds hit .355 with 9 home runs, 29 RBIs and 29 runs scored. So far this season Bell is batting .297 with 12 home runs, 36 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 51 hits in 172 at-bats, 30 walks and a .408 OBP. Bell has played in 44 games. |   |
