 | Free-for-All Costs Thompson and Díaz 5-Game Suspensions Monday, August 12th, 2013: There was a heated confrontation yesterday at The Coliseum between the Spartans and Red Bulls that resulted in ejections and suspensions. Edward Thompson of Sandy Springs and Daniel Díaz of Riverside were issued 5-game suspensions by the league office for initiating the on-field disturbance. This season Thompson has hit at a .280 clip and produced 8 runs batted in, 1 home run and 15 runs. This year Díaz has posted a 13-6 mark in 23 starts and has a 3.35 ERA. |   |
