 | Cougars Lose Héctor Villalobos Wednesday, July 31st, 2013: Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Héctor Villalobos of the Cougars knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Prussian Marxists while throwing a pitch. Because of a stretched elbow ligament, the Anniston reliever is expected to miss 10 months. Villalobos was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
This year Villalobos has made 9 relief appearances with no saves. In 8.2 innings, he has permitted 6 hits, fanned 5 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 2.08 ERA. | |
