Monday, July 22nd, 2013: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Alexander Cartwright League, but last week Josh Barnett of the Anniston Cougars reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Barnett rocked opposing pitching for a .360 average (9-25), 4 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award.
Currently Barnett has 12 home runs and a .207 batting average.
