 | Phoenix's Beasley Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Sunday, July 21st, 2013: History in the making. That's what the fans at UFO Field got to see today, when Phoenix outplayed the Mustang 13-3. Flynn Beasley of the Lights came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Carson City. In the postgame press conference the Carson City skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Flynn Beasley hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. For the season, Beasley is hitting at a .346 clip with 18 home runs, 95 RBIs and has scored 82 runs. He has 130 hits, 64 walks and a .435 on-base percentage. |   |
