"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Ducks said to the press corps after the game. Baker agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." James Baker singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
