 | League Issues Graham 3-Game Suspension Saturday, June 1st, 2013: There was a hostile encounter between Dean Graham and the men in blue in yesterday's Ottawa-Phoenix game. The Outlaws third baseman was tossed for arguing a called third strike. Actually he did a little more than just complain about the call -- he got in the umpire's face and had to be restrained by his manager.
"I don't think I did anything to deserve to be thrown out of the game in the first place, never mind be suspended," Graham stated. "That's unbelievable. I still don't know why he threw me out of the game. I didn't charge over there until after he gave me the heave-ho."
The league office did not agree with his assessment of the confrontation and suspended Graham for 3 games.
This season Graham has hit at a .234 clip with 23 RBIs, 2 home runs and 24 runs scored. | |
