 | Nelson Fans 15 Wolverines Tuesday, May 14th, 2013: The Madison Beehive were victorious over the Wichita Wolverines today 2-0 at Howling Park after getting an outstanding performance from starting pitcher Jake Nelson. The 18-year-old Nelson brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 1 hit and 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," the Wichita manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters by swinging at everything, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." So far this season, Nelson has logged a 5-0 record with a 2.62 ERA. He has started 9 games, hurled 55 innings and registered 68 strikeouts and 24 walks. |   |
