 | Powell Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, April 28th, 2013: Jacksonville left fielder Daniel Powell put on quite a show at Parliament Field with a big 5-hit day in the 8-1 victory over the Ottawa Outlaws. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-5... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too." Daniel Powell singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Powell has produced 27 hits in 71 at-bats for a .380 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .436 clip. |   |
