 | Ramírez Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, April 6th, 2013: The Deacons won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on shortstop António Ramírez extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 2-for-4 in the game. "Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing António extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Murfreesboro manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate." For the record, the Deacons defeated the San Antonio Storm Troopers 4-3 at The Clone Army. António Ramírez singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season Ramírez has no home runs and a .500 batting average. |   |
