 | 5 Hits for Raiders Reid Saturday, September 29th, 2012: 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Mark Reid of the Reno Raiders had a sensational 5-5 game against Antioch at House of Pain. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 11-2 shellacking of the Coal Miners. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?" Mark Reid singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Presently Reid is batting .239 and has collected 10 home runs, 48 RBIs, .302 OBP and scored 67 runs. |   |
