 | Sweet on Fire: 5-6 for Mdewanketon Thursday, August 30th, 2012: Rich Sweet of the Sabercats was unstoppable in today's 18-7 victory over the Birmingham Bobcats at Mystic Lake Stadium. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Mdewanketon right fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will." Rich Sweet hit a two-run home run off Mike Jones in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Manuel Morán in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Sweet is hitting .395 with 18 home runs and 41 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .496 clip and scored 44 runs. |   |
