 | Gregg Sterling Wins BCL Trophy Monday, August 27th, 2012: Gregg Sterling burst onto the Blake Camden League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie catcher for Joplin garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 20-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .429 (9-21) with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs last week. Sterling has a .239 average and a .308 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 98 hits, 12 home runs and driven in 43 runs. |   |
