 | Haley Socks it to Smugglers, Cracks 5 Hits Monday, July 30th, 2012: It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Caleb Haley got one today. He scattered hits all over Ashton Gate to pace Indian Wells to a 13-5 victory over Bristol City. The Bristol City skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Haley hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Caleb Haley grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Craig Curran in the 9th. In 2012 Haley has hit at a .278 clip with 100 hits, 16 home runs, 66 RBIs and has scored 59 times. |   |
