 | Larsen Week's Best in BCL Monday, July 9th, 2012: 25-year-old Allen Larsen made a few Philadelphia headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .458 average. Larsen collected 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 6 runs. For the year Larsen is hitting .318 with 9 home runs. His stats include 41 runs batted in and 32 runs scored. |   |
