 | KSL's #1 Player Named Monday, July 9th, 2012: Few players his age are still in the league, but Buddy Younger of the Coronado Phantoms clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 37-year-old left fielder hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Younger a popular and well-deserved selection as Kade Stenson League Player of the Week.
He paced the Phantoms attack by putting up a .650 batting average, 13 hits in 20 at-bats, 14 RBIs and 4 home runs. Younger also scored 10 runs.
So far this year in 80 games Younger is hitting .320 with 24 home runs, 74 RBIs and 64 runs scored. | |
