 | Payne Shuts out Billings Thursday, June 28th, 2012: After his 5-0 shutout win against the Mustangs, Adam Payne said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good." They were better than good as the Freedom pitcher put up 3 strikeouts, surrendered 1 walk, allowed 6 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long. Up to now Payne has recorded a record of 4-3. In 13 starts he has fanned 58 batters in 79.1 innings with a 3.63 ERA. |   |
