 | Ortíz Batters Fort Worth for 5 Hits Wednesday, June 27th, 2012: There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Roberto Ortíz of the Albuquerque Cacti had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 6-0 win over the Fort Worth Cats at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The 20-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Roberto Ortíz doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Ortíz is presently batting .276 with no home runs, 35 runs scored and 18 RBIs. His OBP is .321. |   |
