 | KSL Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, June 25th, 2012: 21-year-old Pedro Nevárez made a few Fort Worth headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Kade Stenson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Nevárez collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs. This season Nevárez has 4 home runs and a .339 batting average. |   |
