 | KSL Honors El Paso First Baseman Monday, June 11th, 2012: 22-year-old Artie Bennett made a few El Paso headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Kade Stenson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .407 average. Bennett collected 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 5 runs. To date, Bennett has collected 37 hits for a .287 average. He has posted 9 home runs, scored 17 runs and driven in 27 runs. |   |
