 | Crawford Smacks 5 Hits for Bulls Tuesday, May 29th, 2012: It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Denny Crawford of the Durham Bulls. Crawford went on a tear at Ashton Gate and cracked hit after hit off Bristol City pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 22-year-old third baseman had a career 5-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Crawford got the accolades today, but the Bristol City Smugglers walked off the field with a 19-5 win. Denny Crawford doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Crawford's current batting average stands at .287 and he has chalked up 3 home runs and 13 RBIs. |   |
