 | Bombers Robert O'Neil Swings Hot Bat, BCL Winner Monday, May 7th, 2012: 26-year-old Robert O'Neil made a few Bronx headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 16 at-bats to put up a .563 average. O'Neil collected 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 5 runs. O'Neil has a .330 average and a .437 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 33 hits, 8 home runs and driven in 23 runs. |   |
