Tuesday, October 29th, 2013: Springfield reliever Brian Howard's baseball career is apparently over. That was the report from his team of specialists. His baseball future had already been put in jeopardy by a stretched elbow ligament. Further setbacks in his rehabilitation compounded his problems and will force him to retire from the game. The dejected Howard told BNN, "We have exhausted all medical remedies and will have to accept it. It's heartbreaking, but there is simply nothing else that can be done."
