 | League Suspends Birmingham's López Monday, September 9th, 2013: It was both entertaining and embarrassing to see. Birmingham second baseman Gustavo López really got rowdy at Durham Bulls Athletic Park yesterday in a game against the Durham Bulls. It all started with a called third strike and ended up with López being ejected from the game. In between he screamed at several umpires, kicked dirt on them and made several obscene gestures. All of this is frowned upon by the league office. Today they suspended López for 2 games. He could not be reached today for comment. Currently López is batting .292 with 13 home runs, 35 RBIs and 76 runs scored. |   |
