 | BCL's #1 Player, Escobar of Springfield Monday, September 9th, 2013: So far in his young career, José Escobar has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Blake Camden League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Springfield Reformers first baseman hit at a torrid .433 clip as he collected 13 hits in 30 at-bats, 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Escobar is hitting .360 this season with 31 home runs, 100 RBIs and 92 runs scored. He has 200 hits in 556 at-bats. |   |
