José Escobar, the Springfield Reformers 22-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Blake Camden League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 13 hits in 28 at-bats, compiling a .464 average with 3 home runs and 5 RBIs. So far this year Escobar is hitting .355 with 30 home runs. |   |
