 | Gray Goes on Rampage Against Freedom Monday, August 26th, 2013: It was a sensational day at the plate for John Gray as he led the charge to a 8-2 win over the Freedom. The Springfield first baseman was pure misery for the Philadelphia pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Freedom told BNN reporters after the game, "Gray put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." John Gray singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Gerald Spivey in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Kiminobu Takahashi in the 8th. Thus far this year Gray is hitting .312 with 18 home runs, 65 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |   |
