 | Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Welch Sunday, August 18th, 2013: The hot bat of Cats right fielder Matt Welch continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-4 in today's 3-2 loss to the Phantoms at Phantoms Field. Matt Welch grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bruce Jefferson in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Welch is hitting .371 this season with 11 home runs, 27 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 124 at-bats. |   |
