 | Super Swinger -- Watson Slams 5 Hits Friday, August 16th, 2013: The Coal Miners whipped the Argonauts 7-4 at The Coal Mine and Timothy Watson had a big hand in the win. The Coal Miners third baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Watson and a tough day for Astoria. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Watson delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. Timothy Watson singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and doubled in the 8th. For the year Watson is hitting .283 with 1 home run. His stats include 10 RBI and 14 runs scored. |   |
