 | Spencer Tags Argonauts for 5 Hits Friday, August 9th, 2013: Today at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, the Durham Bulls fell to the Astoria Argonauts despite a splendid performance by first baseman Allen Spencer. He had an exceptional day at the plate, tagging Argonauts pitching for 5 base hits, but not enough to come away with a win. Astoria whipped Durham by the score of 11-8. Allen Spencer struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Kevin Lewis in the 9th. For the year Spencer has hit at a .320 clip with 47 RBIs, 10 home runs and 44 runs scored. |   |
