 | League KO's Banditos-Bulls Players with 5-Game Suspensions Wednesday, July 17th, 2013: The fans at Underdogs Ballpark saw it all yesterday in the Banditos-Bulls game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Acapulco's Toby Harris and Durham's Wilson Pérez were ejected from the game.
Today the two players were suspended 5 games by the league commissioner.
To date this season Harris is hitting .280 with 8 home runs.
To date this year Pérez has fashioned a 4.93 ERA over 42 innings with a 3-2 record. He has made 37 relief appearances with 39 strikeouts and no saves. | |
