 | Bad News for Communists, Peters Injured Friday, July 5th, 2013: Terry Peters at first refused to leave today's Mdewanketon-Leningrad game after he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Leningrad starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Peters out of action for 13 months.
Peters has made 26 starts this season, posting 5 wins and 9 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .270 against him and he has 84 strikeouts in 123.1 innings with a 4.74 ERA. | |
